Apprentice – American Express Location: Gurugram (Hybrid) Job Type: Full-Time Apprenticeship Experience: Freshers / Up to 11 Months Experience Overview: American Express is looking for Finance Trainee Apprentices to support accounting, reporting, automation, and transformation initiatives. This role provides hands-on exposure to process automation, large-scale data analysis, AI tools, and enterprise finance operations within a global environment. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain automation solutions for data extraction, validation, and transformation • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and reporting issues • Support automation and process improvement initiatives • Create and maintain documentation for automated workflows and reporting systems • Understand system architecture and dependencies across applications • Identify opportunities for workflow optimization and process transformation • Collaborate with finance and cross-functional teams for data gathering and analysis • Support ongoing projects and business initiatives • Assist in creating and updating standard operating procedures • Ensure compliance with financial and organizational policies Required Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field • Freshers or candidates with up to 11 months of experience can apply • Hands-on exposure to GenAI tools such as ChatGPT or Custom GPTs • Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other programming languages • Ability to work with large datasets and data retrieval processes • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) • Familiarity with automation technologies like RPA, ETL, or Machine Learning • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools • Basic understanding of finance concepts and reporting processes • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies Benefits: • Competitive salary and incentives • Medical and wellness benefits • Hybrid work model • Learning and career development programs • Paid parental leave and employee support programs • Access to health and wellness resources About Company: American Express is a global financial services company known for payment solutions, digital banking, customer services, and technology-driven financial products.
