Apprentice – State Street Location: Bangalore Job Type: Apprenticeship Application Deadline: May 21, 2026 Overview: State Street is hiring passionate and detail-oriented apprentices to support research and data operations teams. The role offers hands-on exposure to investment data, software development, data pipelines, SQL, Python, and CI/CD processes within an enterprise financial environment. Candidates will work on real-world projects involving market data, analytics, and operational support while learning from experienced professionals. Key Responsibilities: • Support daily operational and business-as-usual (BAU) activities • Analyze and process market and investment data across asset classes • Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines and workflows • Participate in deployment, production support, and issue resolution activities • Collaborate with developers and team members in Agile environments • Design and develop solutions for broadly defined technical problems • Verify and validate bug fixes and application enhancements • Follow development best practices and contribute to quality improvements • Work with data related to Fixed Income, Equity, Cash, and Currency markets • Support database operations, job scheduling, and loading mechanisms • Participate in software development and automation initiatives Required Skills: • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts • Knowledge of Data Structures, RDBMS, and database fundamentals • Practical exposure to Java, JavaScript, SQL, or PLSQL • Understanding of SQL programming and data warehousing concepts • Familiarity with Python and Shell scripting is an advantage • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities • Ability to work in fast-paced and collaborative environments • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Quick learner with adaptability to Agile methodologies Education Qualification: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical discipline Preferred Skills: • Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and deployment workflows • Exposure to production support and operational monitoring • Understanding of financial market data and investment systems • Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently • Attention to detail and strong teamwork mindset About Company: State Street is a global financial services and asset management company providing investment servicing, analytics, trading, and technology solutions to institutional investors worldwide.
