Job Description • KPMG India is hiring Analysts for its Consulting Implementation team to support Security Operations Center (SOC) activities and cyber security operations. • The role involves monitoring SIEM alerts, performing threat hunting, malware and phishing analysis, incident handling, quality assessments, and supporting continuous improvement of SOC processes. • This opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates and early-career professionals interested in Cyber Security, SOC Operations, Threat Detection, and Incident Response. Roles and Responsibilities • Monitor and analyze SIEM alerts generated from security tools. • Perform malware analysis and email security investigations. • Conduct proactive threat hunting using threat intelligence and network data. • Analyze phishing emails and security incidents. • Perform incident triage and assign incidents appropriately. • Follow Incident Response playbooks during investigations. • Analyze HTTP, SMTP, and network logs under guidance. • Perform quality assessments of SOC operations. • Identify process deviations and generate Root Cause Analysis (RCA). • Prepare reports, trends, recommendations, and process improvement suggestions. • Support investigation quality reviews and critical cyber incident assessments. • Collaborate with SOC teams to improve operational effectiveness. Eligibility Criteria • B.E./B.Tech or Postgraduate Degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related disciplines. • 0–2 years of relevant experience. • Willingness to work in rotational shifts. • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills • Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, RSA, or LogRhythm experience. • Knowledge of Windows Active Directory and Operating Systems. • Python scripting skills. • Understanding of Azure, AWS, and Microsoft Defender security tools. • Certifications such as CSA, CISM, or CCSP are an advantage. • Knowledge of SOC processes and cyber security best practices.
