Role Overview The Manual QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software solutions, including automation workflows and AI-based systems. This role involves testing applications, supporting customers during validation processes, and maintaining high-quality delivery standards in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities - Perform manual testing of applications, workflows, and automation solutions - Analyze requirements and create structured and detailed test cases - Execute testing sessions with clients and guide them during validation - Provide Level 1 support by resolving issues or escalating when required - Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps - Conduct regression testing before releases - Collaborate with developers, analysts, and product teams - Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices Success Criteria - Deliver high-quality tested solutions independently - Maintain clear documentation and accurate defect reporting - Ensure a smooth and supportive experience for customers during testing Required Skills - Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) - Experience in manual testing within an Agile environment - Knowledge of QA processes, test design, and defect tracking - Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities - Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail - Comfortable interacting directly with clients Preferred Skills - Experience testing web-based applications - Understanding of automation or scripting concepts - Familiarity with APIs and system integrations - Interest in AI-based systems and prompt engineering - Exposure to CI/CD and continuous testing practices Work Environment Cognizant offers a collaborative and inclusive workplace where employees are encouraged to grow, innovate, and contribute to impactful projects.
